Last night’s event at Saks Fifth Avenue welcoming Rebecca Minkoff was a fabulous time filled with handbags, clothes, champagne, and friends. I was so excited to see Rebecca Minkoff again. I even got a chance to ask her a few questions and give her a necklace I designed especially for her!

Very Allegra: Do you still have and use the first M.A.B. bag you designed? 

Rebecca Minkoff: I still have it but I don’t still use it.

VA: What do you feel most comfortable in?

RM: A great pair of jeans and now since we started our new denim line, I find I’ve been living in them.

VA: What’s your favorite part of the design process?

RM: The beginning, when you are getting inspired and before all the other opinions and criticisms come in.

VA: What’s your favorite nail polish color?

RM: Lately, I have been wearing ClamBake by Essie.

VA: What’s your favorite place to travel?

RM: Anywhere tropical.

VA: Do you have any advice for me as a local jewelry designer and blogger?

RM: Get it on everyone and anyone you can, I know it can be hard to give it away for free but I promise it will pay off.

After she said that I said funny you should say that I have a little present for you! She loved the tassel necklace and put it on right then and there.
