Here is the second post in my new “Wedding Wednesday” series. In order to not completely bore you with wedding stuff all the time, these posts will occur every other Wednesday!
Today’s outfit/post is all about the Bridal Shower.
I chose this two piece white lace outfit for a fun change from your typical skirt or dress. Don’t like shorts? I know bridal showers are different for every bride & her hosts. I am so honored that several loved ones have offered to host multiple showers before my wedding. However, for some brides, several showers may not make sense. Whether you are having a few showers or just one, here are a few things to keep in mind, courtesy of my favorite etiquette guru, Emily Post…
– Always say thank you & have a happy attitude
– Bridesmaids are not required to throw the bride a shower
– Anyone invited to a shower should also be invited to the wedding (there are a few exceptions to this rule)
– Multiple showers are totally fine, but make sure that different guests are invited to each one. Only close family & members of the wedding party should be invited to multiple showers
– If a guest is invited to several showers, they are NOT obligated to bring presents to all of them!
– The hostess decides how many should be invited. Showers can get expensive & charged per person, so don’t take advantage of your gracious hostess.
– Showers can also include the groom & be a couples party. They can also be themed!
