Hello from the Dominican Republic!

We arrived on Wednesday for the weekend. My fiancé is playing in a charity golf tournament while we are here and every night there is a fun event. I wore this outfit to last night’s dinner. You may remember this Alexis top from one of my Wedding Wednesday posts < see here > This time I paired the top with a tropical pair of shorts and a custom, hand-painted Mariella Vilar beach basket for a dressed up island look. This top is so beautifully made & I have loved mixing and matching it with different pieces in my wardrobe. It also looks fab with a pair of skinny jeans.

Let’s chat about this Mariella Vilar basket. I am proud & happy to say that Mariella is my future sister-in-law < in less than two months! > and she is so creative & talented. She just started her bespoke business this year and everything she makes is amazing. She hand paints each basket with a lot of love & care. She gifted me a “something blue” basket you may have seen on my instagram a few weeks ago < see here if you missed it > She also designed a set for the girls during my bachelorette party < see here > All of these are available on her website < here > These baskets make the perfect gift, for yourself or a fabulous lady in your life.
