I wanted to share a little look into our cocktail party during our wedding weekend. We decided to have the Rehearsal Dinner on Thursday night and keep it “small” to immediate family (it was still about 50 people). Friday night we reserved one of our favorite local island spots, Nick & Johnnie’s, and had a fun cocktail party to kick off the weekend with a larger group of friends & family from all over the country. We enjoyed cocktails, passed & stationed hor d’oeuvres while mingling & watching our slideshow with funny pictures of the last 6.5 years of our relationship.
The attire was Tropical Chic, which I thought was a fun way to let everyone know it was casual, however, most guys showed up in a jacket & confused by the attire. I convinced my fiancé to pair his jacket with a pair of shorts in true tropical chic fashion (see in picture above). I had a hard time deciding what to wear myself, I finally chose this Polo RL jumpsuit. I thought it was a fun bridal look that is a little different than my typical, go-to style. I went with a braid & low pony-tail combo in order to show the open back detail & my earrings. My clutch was custom painted for the party by Mariella Vilar. < It is the same clutch in this post >
