Happy Monday!

We had a very exciting weekend with the addition of my little niece. We spent a lot of time watching her 3 boys & trips back and forth from the hospital. My sister and baby Caterina Rose are now back home and doing well. I just want to squeeze her, she is so stinking cute.

Summer stripes transition into fall…

I just got this striped blouse from Chicwish and realized it is definitely more summer than fall/winter. Luckily in South Florida, I can wear it all year round. However, I wanted to put a fall touch on the otherwise summery top. For summer, I would typically wear this top with white skinny jeans or denim cut-offs with gladiator sandals. To transition into fall, I paired them with dark, distressed jeans & ankle booties to “grunge up” the girly top. I love finding pieces that can transition from season to season so you can get your cost per wear down.

What’s cost per wear?

I love cost per wear…If you buy a $500 dress and wear it once, your cost per wear is $500. If you wear it twice, your cost per wear is $250, and if you wear it 5 times, it’s $100. Pretty simple but it is my way of justifying purchases. I am not the type to only wear something once, for the most part. I like to mix and match pieces with different accessories in order to re-wear key wardrobe pieces and get that cost per wear down. That’s why I love pieces that transition from season to season.
