Happy Friday!
TGIF! I am so sorry for the delay in getting a blog post up this week. As you all know, we live in Palm Beach, Florida. Last week, we all thought that Hurricane Irma was going to hit us directly as a category 4 hurricane. As most of the southern state evacuated, we left our little island to head about an hour north and 30 miles inland to my parents’ ranch house. Even though, the hurricane was actually expected to affect us more there than in Palm Beach, we were equipped with a generator. The storm surge is also always a big concern on the island and we decided it was better to leave.
The storm ended up hitting the west coast of Florida, however, the entire state was affected due to the large size of the storm. I am happy to report that besides no power (we still don’t have it at home) and some downed trees, we are safe and sound.
How to help…
I am praying for all of those that really got hit the hardest, not only in Florida but also in the Caribbean. I have been looking into ways to help the victims of Hurricane Irma. The easiest way for you to help is by donating to The United Way here. I am also working on a special bracelet design. I will donate 100% of the proceeds of the bracelet to Hurricane Irma relief efforts. I will definitely keep you updated on that.
On another note… White Jeans after Labor Day.
I had this post planned for last week. However, due to the storm and lack of internet, I am just posting it now. I know this is still a summery outfit, but in some parts of the world & here in Palm Beach you can get away wearing this look just about anytime of the year. I love white and wear it all year round. What are your thoughts about the “no white after Labor Day” rule?
