Hi there!
As most of you know, I love to cook and during quarantine I have been cooking A LOT. Definitely more than usual, therefore today, I am sharing 10 of my favorite go-to cooking tools.
Obviously, I use a lot more than these while cooking, however, I didn’t want to just share my blender or Nespresso machine. Some of these you may already have but others, like number 9, may be a new game changer for you.
one. Lemon Press
I LOVE my lemon press and use it daily. From adding lemon to my water, lime to a cocktail, or any citrus to a recipe, I keep this on my counter at all times. This press is great quality, I’ve had it for 4 years and it’s still in going strong.
two. Rice Cooker
If you don’t have a rice cooker and eat it often, what are you waiting for?? I use our rice cooker at least 1-2x a week if not more. You can also cook other grains like quinoa in it too. My husband loves rice, especially sushi rice and this rice cooker makes life so easy.
three. Garlic Press
I love this garlic press because of the attached cleaning brush! I used to have one that I had to throw out because I could never get it clean. I used to also buy minced garlic but mincing it yourself keeps all the vitamins/nutrients in it longer since its fresh.
four. Large Nonstick Skillet
I probably use this pan the most because I love how large it is. It is perfect for sautéing a ton of peppers and onions for Taco Tuesday or making cauliflower fried rice. It is also very easy to clean.
five. veggie spiralizer
I love this spiralizer for making zucchini noodles and other veggie noodles for healthy dishes.
six. Colorful Knife Set
I love this knife set, not only because of the fun colors but because of the individual covers. It makes them easy to store in a drawer and keep them sharp.
seven. Glass Pitcher
I love this glass pitcher with a lid because I love making lemon water or iced tea and keeping it in the fridge for healthy drink options.
eight. Meat Thermometer
My husband is very particular with his meat temperature and I used to cut into steak or chicken to make sure they were cooked. Now I can rely on this thermometer to keep the meat intact and cooked.
nine. Egg Perfect Timer
I love hard boiled eggs and my hubs loves soft boiled (I use this cracker & these cups to serve), so this egg timer comes in handy! It’s under $10 and so easy to use. Just pop it in a pot with your eggs and water and watch it slowly change colors as the eggs cook!
ten. Electric Salt & Pepper Mills
These are a little on the pricier side, but we love them. They are electric and even have a light on the bottom, so you can see how much salt and pepper you are adding to your dish. I fill ours with pink Himalayan salt and black pepper.
