Hi friends!
Have you been following along on Instagram?! If so, you know that we had a pretty awesome trip to California this past week. We were visiting some close family friends and spent a lot of time at Folded Hills for the holiday weekend & the Fourth of July. After several days in the Santa Barbara area, my husband and I checked into the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel for a few nights to celebrate my birthday (on July 6th). We met friends & family for dinner, shopped around town, relaxed by the pool, and even went to a Dogers game on Friday night. It was an amazing trip and thanks to my wonderful husband, I had a very happy birthday. It was the first year that I had started “stressing” about getting older, however, he made it such a great birthday that all my anxiety went away…at least for now.
Happy to be home…
Our trip to California started with a pretty hectic & long travel day, including delays, an airport change, a layover, & even an “emergency landing” in Memphis. After being awake for a total of 22 hours, we were very happy once we arrived at Folded Hills. Luckily, the way home on Saturday was not as eventful. Everything went smoothly, however, it is just a long travel day & loosing 3 hours. We spent Sunday, relaxing, watching movies and unpacking. We are only home for a little bit before our next trip, heading to the Hamptons for a trunk show at the end of July! < Details at the end of this post. >
About this MISA jacket…
How cute is this jacket?! I scored it during my trunk show at the Drawing Room in New York in May and I was so excited when it finally came in the mail. The embroidered detail and lightweight material make it the perfect summer piece. I paired it with casual cropped denim & flats for an easy look. It would also look great over a white sundress – love this one.
